Extraordinary works by Fort Worth artists Fabiola Valenzuela and Jesse Sierra Hernandez have been selected by the State of the Arts panelists for a complementary exhibition in the Kimbell Art Museum's Piano Pavilion lobby.

Fabiola Valenzuela is a multimedia artist based in Fort Worth. [....] Her work explores the concepts of identity and memory through painting, installation and sculpture. She is also the winner of the 2016 897 Square Annual Juried Art Competition.  

Jesse Sierra Hernandez was born and raised in Fort Worth. His work ranges from smaller pieces on paper to large-scale oil paintings and has been shown in over a dozen solo and group exhibitions[....]. He initially received his education in commercial art, studying under illustrator Don Punchatz from 1991 to 1995. He has also served as curator and art director for Fort Worth's Studio 4 gallery and 7th Street Gallery. In addition to his work as an artist, Hernandez is a preparator for the Kimbell Art Museum, a position he has held since 2001.
