Guilford College Art Gallery presents photographs from the “Legacy” and “Silver Screen” series by Tama Hochbaum, in an exhibition titled “Time Passing."

Originally from New York, Tama Hochbaum received her B.A. from Brandeis University in fine arts and was awarded upon graduation a Thomas J. Watson Foundation Fellowship to study printmaking at Atelier 17 in Paris. She received her M.F.A. in painting from Queens College in New York, New York. She worked as a painter for 20 years before turning to photography. In 1991, during a four-month stay in Italy, an old interest in photography that had begun during her time in Paris re-emerged.
