Iowa Watercolor Traveling Show

The Blanden Art Museum is pleased to present the Iowa Watercolor Society’s 2016 – 2017 Traveling Show. Internationally known artist Sterling Edwards juried and judged this year’s annual competition that consisted of sixty paintings.  These sixty paintings were chosen from 131 entries from artists across Iowa. This year’s show was held in Perry, Ia. The traveling exhibit of thirty paintings includes five IWS Awards of Excellence, Best Transparent Watercolor and seven Honorable Mentions. The 30 paintings in the traveling show represent the work of 24 Iowa artists. One can truly say that the IWS Traveling Show is the best of the best.
