Exhibition Website

The Schneider Museum of Art is excited to present its spring exhibition, Convergence: Digital Media and Technology. The show is co-curated by Richard Herskowitz and Museum Director Scott Malbaurn in collaboration with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) and the Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF). The public is invited to a special opening reception on Wednesday, April 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and the exhibition will be on view through May 27, 2017.

Convergence: Digital Media and Technology features media art from the JSMA collection curated by Richard Herskowitz (JSMA Curator of Media Arts and AIFF Director of Programming) on view in the Museum’s Treehaven and Heiter Galleries. This includes works by Nina Katchadourian, Ken Matsubara, Vanessa Renwick, and Peter Sarkisian. Additional works by Allison Cekala, Lou Watson, Derek G. Larson and Julia Oldham will be on view in the Entry and Main Galleries. Herskowitz states that “It is wonderful to have AIFF collaborating with the Schneider Museum for the second year in a row. Our audiences will have the novel experience of encountering adventurous media art in a gallery setting, and attending a spectacular multi-screen performance by Vanessa Renwick and musician Tara Jane O’Neil in the Museum during our festival.”
