Love of Place: Twenty-One in Truro

Exhibition Website

Apr 8 2017 - May 6 2017

In 1999 twenty-one women convened for an artist’s retreat in Truro on Cape Cod. They painted in the area, and shared meals and ideas about creativity. A bond was formed and there was a commitment to return to Sladeville on the Pamet in Truro for a week each fall.

They share five cottages on the Pamet River where they paint, hike, kayak, photograph, read, talk, picnic, and absorb the open character of Truro. During this focused interval, the opportunity arises to express individual responses to the natural beauty of the Outer Cape. And during this time, dedicated to joy and ease, the twenty-one artists support one another in meeting the challenges of leading a creative life.
