(Dis)Connected

In (Dis)Connected viewers are asked to examine the roles of technology in their everyday lives, specifically in regards to how it can facilitate or hinder communication. The ubiquity of information technology coupled with social media platforms has created a digital landscape where world events can be shared and commented upon almost instantaneously. The question put forward then is whether this constant connectivity brings people closer together or drives them further apart. Short of answering this question for the viewer, (Dis)Connected shares the perspective of visual artists as they consider these themes in their own practice.  Viewers are then invited to share their own experiences through interactive activities throughout the exhibition.
