Sam Anderson: The Park

Sam Anderson is creating a series of newly commissioned sculptures and video work for SculptureCenter's lower level galleries. Shifting scale in her sculptures, Anderson creates compositions with figures and objects that inhabit particular relationships to the site and viewer. Often depicting intimate worlds and dynamics that turn inwards, Anderson positions the viewer as outside of the interrelationships formed between her works. Using a range of found and made materials to construct her scenes, they present charged encounters.
