Hit the Road: Classic Motorcycles from Private Collections

Exhibition Website

Sep 22 2017 - Jan 7 2018

More than 2,000 square feet of The Museum will display an assortment of custom bikes, classic “limited edition” designs, and even some famous bikes from popular culture. The Museum is working with guest curator, Ben Zintak, and Classic Harley-Davidson® in Leesport to identify private collectors for this incredible exhibition.

Bikes showcased will include the 1999 Harley-Davidson® MT500, which was used in operation Desert Storm in Iraq and served in an active combat zone in Afghanistan. Visitors will also see one of three Captain America promotional bikes created for the movie, Easy Rider, driven by the actor, Peter Fonda.

The exhibition will be located in The Museum’s First Floor Meinig Gallery, which is directly adjacent to the World Cultures Gallery where Hands-On Harley-Davidson™ will be displayed. This location gives visitors the chance to explore the motorcycles while children play next door.
