Powwows & Rodeos: Communities at Play by Harry Lee Harpster, Jr.

Powwows & Rodeos: Communities at Play is an exhibition sponsored by the Montana Art Galleries and Directors Association (MAGDA). 

 This exhibition is composed of images by photographer Harry Lee Harpster, Jr., which were developed posthumously by members of the Hockaday Museum of Art. The images, taken behind the scenes of Montana rodeos and powwows, are at once ironic and humorous, intense and intimate.
