For the 2017 Kranzberg Exhibition Series, conceptual artist Yvonne Osei will create a large scale custom made garment that will occupy the breadth and width of the galleries, creating an installation where textiles create landscape. Inspired by both the physical and cultural landscape of the Park, Osei weaves design motifs from her home country Ghana with her photographic and video documentation of the Park. A series of public performances and social media collaboration will culminate in an installation of fashion as sculpture and a series of large scale photographs, engaging with the indoor / outdoor relationship between the galleries and the Park. Here, Osei continues her inquiry utilizing the import of fashion as a medium to celebrate diversity in culture and in nature.
