This juried photography exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, a cornerstone of American environmental conservation. The exhibit explores the majesty, diversity, and value of the nation's wilderness areas. Approximately 50 award-winning large-format images by professional, amateur, and student photographers reveal America as you've never seen it -- wild, untouched, and free.

Whether or not you go, The National Parks: An American Legacy tells the story of the parks through the photography of Ian Shive and poignant essays by today’s leading naturalists, scientists, explorers, and artists. This lavish volume reveals the grandeur and history of the parks and looks toward what the next 100 years will bring.

From the cascading waterfalls of Yosemite to the unique geothermal features of Yellowstone, the U.S. national parks are among the most breathtaking destinations in the world.
