The Art Patrons League of Mobile was a volunteer, non-profit service organization of women dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the Mobile area.
From 1964 to 2004, the Art Patrons League’s fundraising, community service, art education, and public art projects enriched the lives of all Mobilians and the surrounding communities through the annual efforts of over 450 active and associate members.
An ongoing Art Patrons League project was to place quality art in public places. They worked to establish and add nationally known artists to the collection of the Mobile Museum of Art. Artworks from these forty years of supported acquisition will be on exhibit from July 8, 2016 to February 5, 2017 at the Mobile Museum of Art.
