Poetry in Color: The Works of Bert Zylstra

Zylstra (b. 1940-d.2000) was born in Rotterdam, Holland and studied at the Art Student's League in New York after emigrating tot he United States. Featured art includes work completed while he lived in the Manitowoc area, as well as early work that proceeded his time in Wisconsin and later work accomplished after Zylstra's return to Holland in 1989. His painting - watercolors, oil on canvas and board, and pastels - are complimented by the poetry of Kathryn Gahl.
