Papillon d’amour

Exhibition Website

Feb 1 2017 - Feb 28 2017

By subjecting fragments from Akira Kurosawa’s film Rashomon to a mirror effect, artist Nicholas Provost creates an imaginative scene of a woman’s reverse chrysalis into an imploding butterfly. This physical audio-visual experience produces skewed reflections upon love, its lyrical monstrosities, and a wounded act of disappearance.
