New England on Paper: Contemporary Artists in the Boston Athenæum

This exhibition will showcase contemporary prints, drawings, and photographs acquired through the Frances Hovey Howe Print Fund. Works in many different media will be on display: linocuts and lithographs, hand-toned silver gelatin prints and digital photographs, drawings and watercolors. Representational work will be juxtaposed with more abstract compositions. The objects will document a wide array of artistic responses to the New England-built and natural environment.
