The exhibition is part of the Museum’s year-long 40th anniversary celebration and features portraits in a variety of media selected from the Museum’s permanent collection.
Among the forty portraits offered in the exhibition will be works by well-known national artists such as Wayman Adams, Leonard Baskin, Mary Jane Peale, Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol. Local and regional artists also are well represented with works by Michael Allison, Philip Brulia, Allen Capriotti, and Donald M. Robinson.
“The Museum is proud to present these forty portraits in honor of our 40th birthday,” said SAMA-Altoona Coordinator Barbara Hollander. “This is an eclectic collection of magnificent work. With over 4,500 works of art in our possession, showings of our permanent collection are always new and fresh.”
