Will Barnett was an American printmaker and painter known for his elegant portraits and visions of beautiful women and children.
28 works showcase Barnett’s re-developed ideas of the 1960s, from abstraction to figuration that he never finished. Barnett’s unusual combination of subtly painted, imaginary figurative imagery are enhanced by his newer visions of color and special feeling, which exemplifies his ongoing capacity for reinvention and new perspectives as a man who at the time was nearing 100.
