Take a first look at a sampling of upcoming exhibitions at Santa Fe's Museum of International Folk Art.

On the 4th floor of the State Capitol is an exhibition promoting the mission of the Museum of International Folk Art, which is to foster an understanding of the traditional arts and illuminate human creativity to shape a humane world.

With more than 130,000 objects from more than 100 countries the Museum of International Folk Art brings the cultures of the world to New Mexico. The Museum’s next four exhibitions cover the culture and heritage of four different regions: China, the United States, Peru, and our local Hispano New Mexican community. These carefully crafted exhibitions incorporate extensive literary and field research conducted here in New Mexico and abroad, important collections of folk art, and dialogues and interviews with local and international artists to bring depth and understanding to the artistic traditions from these communities.
