Art Partners 2016

Art Partners is a community art collaboration that brings together 3rd grade and multiage-classroom students, classroom teachers, and art specialists from the Bainbridge Island Public School District (BISD) with teaching artists and museum educators from the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA).

[Developed ...] over the course of two months [...] this painted wood project [...] was created during [...] class time. Each student’s painted wooden element utilizes a unique language of analogous colors – colors found adjacent to each other on the color wheel – and patterns to depict their individual “fingerprint”.
