Feb 18 2017 - Jun 18 2017

This exhibition of a work in progress by Tamar Guimarães and Kasper Akhøj (Brazilian, born 1967, and Danish, born 1976) focuses on the artists’ research in Palmelo, a small town in Brazil where half of the town’s inhabitants see themselves as spiritual mediums while also holding day jobs as civil servants. This is the artists’ first solo American museum exhibition and will be presented in another form at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as part of Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, on view from August 2017 through January 2018.
