Two monumental figurative sculptures by artist Carole Feuerman (American, b. 1945) are now on view as part of the Tampa Museum of Art’s outdoor sculpture series.

Best recognized for her Swimmers series, an ongoing body of work depicting male and female swimmers in active or contemplative poses, Feuerman is known for her larger-than-life, hyperrealist art. The Golden Mean (2012), a 14-foot bronze sculpture of a high platform diver, is currently installed on the Bretta B. Sullivan Terrace. The West Terrace features The Monumental Dancer (2015), a work from Feuerman’s latest suite, entitled Dancing. Both sculptures demonstrate the artist’s continued exploration of the body in motion.
