Five series of large format railroad-related prints will be in a rotating exhibit through fall 2017 at the O. Winston Link Museum. The first group, “Steam Era Locomotives: NW611,” is already on view in the Trackside Gallery. These feature the origins of the NW611 (Class J era) Steam Locomotives, built in the N&W Roanoke Shops.
The schedule for the exhibits is:
Through Nov. 1, 2016: “Steam Era Locomotives: NW611”
Nov. 7, 2016 – Jan. 29, 2017: “In the Railyard & On the Tracks”
Feb. 6 – April 30, 2017: “Beyond the Tracks”
May 8 – July 31, 2017: “Along the Line”
Aug. 7 – Oct. 23, 2017 (Tentative): Civil Engineering Drawings (From the Collection of NWHS)
