Exhibition Website

Jan 21 2017 - Mar 26 2017

“To Walk in Beauty” as defined by Native Americans seeks to replicate the innate order and harmony of the universe within each individual.  Native Americans seek to live in harmony with the earth as well as to balance the elements of one’s life. The Peninsula Fine Arts Center presents several stimulating exhibitions examining Native American culture. Displays will reflect the dynamic tradition of Native American art. Artifacts from Native American life in Jamestown, Virginia from the 1600s will be presented alongside late 19th century Native American objects. To complement traditional Native American art and artifacts, an exhibition featuring contemporary Native American artists will also be on view.  Works will be selected from public institutions as well as private collections.
