Object Lessons: Art & Its Histories

Featuring scroll paintings, prints, and albums, this installation presents highlights from modern China. The objects, selected by Richard Vinograd, Christensen Fund Professor in Asian Art, complement the undergraduate course From Shanghai Modern to Global Contemporary: Frontiers of Modern Chinese Art, which explores the complexities of Chinese artistic practice from the late 19th century to the present.
