Looking Ahead: Inaugural Museum Members’ Exhibition

The theme, “Looking Ahead,” is a hopeful, forward-looking, and unscripted response to our 35th-Anniversary programs of honoring our past, and it suggests a point of reference from which the artist or subject views the near and far in both space and time. The perception of this viewer may result in a feeling, a sensory response, or a vision. If there is an “ahead,” can we assume there is a “before,” a “behind,” or a “past”? This broad theme is open to each artist’s unique inspiration, and was chosen to encourage a variety of interpretations.

Guest Juror: Kevin Howard, former President and CEO of The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. In addition to senior leadership positions in the private and public sector, he is also a talented musician. A tireless community leader, his experience includes past Board Public Policy Chair of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Board of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Massachusetts Creative Economy Council, and current Board member of Cape Arts & Entertainment, the Oceanside Performing Arts Center and the Cape & Islands United Way. He has juried many shows, locally and regionally.

2D and 3D work in all media and photography, completed during the last 3 years.
