New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks! has teamed up with the New Bedford Free Public Library for INVITING RESPONSE, an exciting exhibition that unites local contemporary artists with the New Bedford Free Public Library’s renowned collection. Artists select a piece from the Library’s collection and create a new work inspired by their selection. INVITING RESPONSE is the culminating exhibit of this exchange between historic and contemporary artworks, merging New Bedford’s rich, artistic traditions with present-day innovations.
