Mattatuck Museum

Waterbury, CT

Telling the history of the Native American’s time in Connecticut, this exhibition utilizes an assortment of stone tools and other artifacts to establish an understanding of Native American history. The exhibit centers on archaeology and its substantial role in the understanding of their culture and lifeways. With artifacts mainly derived from Connecticut and presented as a means of understanding the periods of pre-history in New England, the show will include a selection of Mid-Western artifacts to compare and contrast the tool types and styles of the period and locality.
