This replica by the Sarasota Architectural Foundation of the 1952 Walker Guest House, designed by Paul Rudolph, presents one of the hallmarks of the "Sarasota School" of modernism. Rudolph designed the house specifically for the subtropical Florida climate and it represents his adaptation of the modernist style that was popular in the 1950's. The structure is a landmark on Sanibel Island, and is still used as a guest house.
