The collaborative work of Owen and VanAmeyden illuminates concepts of impermanence and personal vs. collective memories through both traditional and digital photographic methods.
Referencing historical vernacular photography, their installation at the SBMA will provide visitors a space to reflect upon their place within a genealogical history as well as the basic stages of life: birth, infancy, youth, adulthood, and ultimately death.
