Polish-born artist Feliks Topolski traveled to the USSR in 1941 with a British transport convoy. There, he recorded scenes showing the formation of the Polish Army behind Russian lines, as well as daily life in Russia at a time when the invading German army was just miles from Moscow. The installation will display a selection of original drawings made by Topolski during this expedition, remarkable examples of twentieth-century war art depicting a pivotal moment in modern history.
