Aurora Molina: Selfie

In Selfie, Cuban-born, Miami-based artist Aurora Molina explores the egocentric tendencies of celebrity and how they play a transcendental role in the construction of new identities. Molina uses the traditional handmade ”slow” technique of embroidery to comment on the rapid-fire, addictive condition of constantly projecting ourselves into the social media ether.
