Carmen Tiffany: The Teeth Beneath

The Teeth Beneath reconstructs memories by investigating the power of childhood imagination in relation to isolated and impoverished regions of America. As a child, immersed in mountain ranges, wildlife, and a big starry sky, Tiffany sought a connection to popular culture.

Originally from Wyoming, Miami-based artist Carmen Tiffany works in drawing, animation, and video. She received her BFA from Minnesota State University and her MFA from the University of South Florida.
