Continuing the tradition of outstanding fiber art exhibitions, OMA is proud to feature original two- and three- dimensional pieces from current members of the San Diego-based California Fibers group. This invitational juried exhibition features a range of fiber and textile arts in media such as silk, cotton, bamboo, palm, wool, wire, and paper, using techniques including weaving, basketry, quilting, embroidery, and felting.
California Fibers, founded in 1970, supports artistic growth and professional advancement for contemporary Southern California fiber artists. The group has an extensive national and international exhibition history. Many of its members are represented in museums and private collections and are recipients of prestigious awards from around the world.
