The remarkable new movie Anomalisa, written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Kaufman and Duke Johnson, is a modern-day story about love and alienation that was meticulously crafted using stop-motion animation.
This special installation in the core on-going exhibition Behind the Screen includes two sets, depicting a hotel room and a Cleveland city street, and puppets of the two main characters, Michael and Lisa.

The film, Anomalisa [Blu-ray], which earned a Metacritic score of 88, tells the story of Michael Stone, a man who is unable to interact deeply with other people. His low sensitivity to excitement, and his lack of interest makes his life mundane until he meets an extraordinary stranger.
