The Kaplan/Ostergaard Glass Center presents a variety of glass sculptures and techniques ranging from casting to glass blowing and other creative methods. In content and meaning, diverse styles and subjects range from the narrative and figurative to the natural world and the exploration of color in space. Brought together are works by renowned international artists who have had an impact on the development of the contemporary glass movement in major art centers throughout the world. 

View unique aesthetic properties in monumental installations by Michael Petry and Dale Chihuly. Study the mold-making and casting processes by Ivana Šrámková, Lino Tagliapietra, and Marvin Lipofsky apply detailed cold-working and hand-carved techniques to their blown glass forms. Nicole Chesney merges formal investigations of color, space, and light while Daniel Clayman explores physical properties of light effecting surface and volume. Therman Statom unites experimental combinations of glass, painting, and mixed media in an exuberant site-specific installation.
