Chris “Daze” Ellis

Chris “Daze” Ellis (b. 1962) entered the world of art via graffiti writing, painting on the city’s streets and subway system in the late 1970s. In the early ‘80s, Daze turned his attention from the street to the studio, creating works on canvas that merged elements of street style with figurative painting.
