POWERFUL WOMEN: CONTEMPORARY ART FROM THE EITELJORG COLLECTION

Exhibition Website

This exhibition highlights contemporary women artists, especially Native artists, and the powerful works they have created that speak to issues of personal identity, political agency, memory and violence against women.

The Eiteljorg Museum’s permanent collection is one of the most important collections of contemporary Native art in the world. Many of the pieces that will be on display were purchased or gifted to the museum through the Eiteljorg’s Contemporary Art Fellowship.

The second rotation of Powerful Women is open now. Powerful Women II focuses on works by Black, Latino, Asian American and European American women contemporary artists.
