Georgia O’Keeffe: Drawings

Exhibition Website

May 25 2019 - Feb 10 2020

In these images, O’Keeffe experimented with abstract lines and shapes in order to give visual form to abstract concepts such as emotions, natural forces, or the joy of listening to music. Some of the later images are based on natural forms—plants and animal bones—she encountered while traveling to Bermuda or living in New Mexico, her adopted home after 1946. The artist worked with Atlantis Editions in 1968 to create this limited edition portfolio of prints based largely on her earlier drawings.
