Having migrated from other parts of the world to the United States, all four participating artists of Diaspora have expressed their diverse experiences of culture and identity in their work by expressing alternative narratives and challenging the ideas and structures of the contemporary art scene.

Seung Lee is a Korean-American contemporary artist. His paintings, drawings, and large-scale installations inspired by nature to depict trees in abstract forms, have been exhibited extensively in the US and internationally.

Born and educated in India, Puneeta Mitta discovered her passion for clay that led to focused exploration of clay forms and surfaces.

Eliška Mörsel Greenspoon was born in the Czech Republic Eliška assembles photo-based imagery with multiple layers and mediums that create a “visual dialogue”. Her works mimic issues such as the global warming, the human condition, and modern love. She does this by layering, tearing, painting, burning and adding wax to a collection of her old and new prints.

Andreas Rentsch's  work is an ongoing exploration of the connection of fate, geography, and politics in the direction of justice. His fascination in the magic of capturing light and making it visible within the photographic process has been an obsession of his since he took his first photograph at the age of 12.
