Without Words

Charles M. Schulz adopted a wide ranging and creative lexicon for the Peanuts comic strip; though his creative approach to communication went well beyond the traditional use of words. With the stroke of his pen Schulz was able to create expressive line and use space within the comic strip panels to evoke action, emotion, and hilarity—at times, telling a complete story using no words at all.
