New York-based artist Lorrie Fredette’s practice is at the intersection of art and science. She will create a site-specific installation that examines and explores beauty, harmony, and comfort to comprehend the incomprehensible aspects of infection, pandemic, and plague. Fredette combines beeswax, tree resin, muslin, brass, and steel to create organic forms that are concerned with patterns, symmetry, and order.
