“Andy Warhol: Myth/Maker” is a unique, interactive exhibition featuring original work from Warhol’s Myths series, depicting nostalgic heroes and villains from his childhood. Items on display will include original silkscreen paintings, prints, archival material and vintage toys collected by Warhol throughout his lifetime.

"The Pensacola Museum of Art is excited to host this dynamic and rich exhibition organized by two top tier museums and designed for visitors of all ages," said Amy Bowman-McElhone, assistant vice president of the UWF Historic Trust Museums and the director and chief curator of the Pensacola Museum of Art. "

The exhibition examines Warhol's playful aesthetic rooted in pop cultural ephemera and the myth of the artist through original prints, drawings, objects and archival materials."

The exhibition, organized by The Andy Warhol Museum and the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, will feature a costume station for children to play dress up and a silkscreen studio where visitors can create prints on a variety of materials. The silkscreen studio provides a behind-the-scenes look at Warhol’s creative process as well as the opportunity for visitors to create their own artwork.
