Tanya Bruguera

Tanya Brugeuera works with people to expose, critique, and change the institutional structures and political dynamics that impact the lives of the most vulnerable individuals and groups in our societies. One of the most recognized socially engaged artists practicing today, Bruguera joins the Brown University community after the opening of 10,142,926, her Hyundai Commissin at the Turbine Hall at the Tate Modern in London. For her exhibition at the David Winton Bell Gallery, Brugeuera will further explore themes and techniques arising from her work and research at the Tate Modern.
