Yunhee Min & Peter Tolkin: Red Carpet in C

Yunhee Min & Peter Tolkin: Red Carpet in C is a collaboration between painter, Yunhee Min, and architect, Peter Tolkin, which represents a culmination of shared interests, passion, and on-going conversations about music, architecture, and color, as well as the powerful ways they shape individual and collective experiences of space. Conceived as performative architecture, Red Carpet in C will be a massive fabric installation functioning as both an object to be viewed and a space to be inhabited, a virtual translation of music into three-dimensions. The suspended red fabric form undulates through the volume of a two-story atrium, expanding itself into low-hanging curvatures, functioning as a small amphitheater for experimental music performances.
