Crisis: A Visual Exploration of Conflict

Crisis: A Visual Exploration of Conflict investigates how visual artists have captured, reacted, and explained physical acts of conflict, issues of identity, and the evolving conceptual methodologies in art itself. Capitalizing on the unique access to the diverse and comprehensive University Art Collection, Light Work Collection, and the Special Collections Research Center at Syracuse University Libraries; student curators engaged in hands-on research and practice with collection objects to curate an exhibition that juxtaposes historic works with twentieth century examples of prints, photographs, archival materials, paintings, and sculptural objects.
