Although best known for his achievements in the decorative arts, particularly glass, Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933) was an active painter and photographer throughout his life.This exhibit from the Museum’s collection of Tiffany’s paintings, watercolors, and photographs reflects not only the artist’s famous eye for composition and color but something of his character. Tiffany, who found inspiration everywhere, was unceasingly engaged with his visual environment, recording his impressions with pen, brush, and camera.
